Curriculum
We will use the Unique Learning System (ULS), a comprehensive, standards, online curriculum specifically designed for students with special needs from preschool through transition (adulthood). The ULS curriculum is designed to match the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) Extended Content Standards. ULS provides standards-aligned instruction in ELA, math, science, and social studies, with thematic units tailored for different ability levels.
Students will receive a learning device for daily work and assignments, daily planner, and coursework for all academic classes.
Its All in the Details
This is not our ordinary micro-private school. This community exists because of families like yours and ours. While we strive for excellence, we acknowledge that we are not perfect. However, our passion for our kids’ future and success motivates through it all.
In addition to academic curriculum and ABA therapy, we offer
Quarterly field trips
School pictures
Outdoor play space & celebration experiences
Frequent celebration experiences.
Year Round
Extended School Year (ESY) | Summer Break
We will have a similar academic as Douglas County School System. However, some breaks will be shorter. In addition, we will offer the Extended School year (ESY) from the end of the academic school year (mid-May) until end of July. ESY will function as a fun environment (play, trips, games, etc.) with maintenance of only core reading and math skills (approximately 1.5-2 hours/daily) to ensure there is no summer break regression. Sustainment of core skills is necessary for our kids to maintain their growth. ABA Therapy will also continue through the summer.
