About Us
The Evolution. Bridgeway was the natural progression to creating a space for our youngest son. We were unhappy with the traditional corporate owned ABA therapy clinics who were operating on a “One-Size Fits All” Model. Whenever we had an idea to integrate his therapies, collaborate, or ask about something different, we would get a brick wall.
We knew our boy was capable. He is smart, loving, special, and we knew that in order for him to thrive, that we needed to create a structured community for him to feel loved, supported, and to grow. A space for him! So we opened an ABA therapy clinic in Douglasville, GA. The community truly embraced us and rallied around this growing need and gap. After our ABA therapy clinic opened in 2024, we knew there was more support that he would need after he “aged” out, and we kept getting calls and inquiries from parents with au-some kids that were too “old” for traditional ABA and needed social/emotional help from the school side.
Naturally, we needed something for our kiddo who was entering this population. What we needed was a way to take off the training wheels but still be there with a safety net during these academic years. And thus, we have Bridgeway Academy, a parent-developed non-traditional private educational center serving those on the Autism Spectrum that provides curriculum classes in line with state educational standards.
One Au-Some Family. Providing Structured Support. Manifesting Independence.
Our mission is to build bridges that connect each student’s strengths to meaningful independence, lifelong learning, and real-world success.
“If not us, then who?”
